Postcards on the Edge

So my parents are sending me postcards during their holiday. They are lovely to get but I have issues.
Before she left, my Mother asked me to keep all the postcards for HER scrapbook! I don't get that! Also, she has asked all her work colleagues and neighbours who are receiving postcards to do the same! What is with that?? You send someone a postcard but they can't keep it ... they have to give them back when you get back. I wonder if it's just my Mother's insecurity about herself - that she thinks people don't want to keep them? Or that she wants to relive the holiday when she gets back? I really am baffled.
Secondly, I rang my brother the other night. He was SO excited. "I got a postcard from Mum and Dad!" he practically yelled down the phone. I looked guiltily at my pile of 22 and said nothing.

When you wish upon the Moon ...

Well the news is that I've met someone. I don't know what lies ahead, don't know if it's "serious" or anything but it feels good. He matches everything on the list that I asked for, and I'm meeting him tomorrow. In the very least I have met someone that I think I could be friends with for a while. It feels as though he is someone who will play a significant role in my life - in what capacity I'm not yet sure but I'll let you know when I am.
